Caramel Banana Pudding Cups Recipe 🤤🍌
Ingredients:
For the Caramel Sauce:
1 cup granulated sugar
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces
1/2 cup heavy cream
Pinch of salt
For the Banana Pudding:
1 package (3.4 oz) instant banana pudding mix
2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup diced fresh bananas
For the Assembly:
1 cup crushed vanilla wafer cookies
1/2 cup diced fresh bananas
Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
Additional caramel sauce for drizzling (optional)
Directions:
Make the Caramel Sauce:
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the granulated sugar, stirring constantly until it turns a deep amber color. Be careful not to burn it.
Once the sugar has melted, carefully add the butter, whisking until melted and smooth.
Slowly add the heavy cream while continuing to whisk. The mixture will bubble up, so be cautious.
Stir in a pinch of salt.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly before using.
Prepare the Banana Pudding:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant banana pudding mix and whole milk until thickened, about 2 minutes.
Gently fold in the diced bananas.
Assemble the Caramel Banana Pudding Cups:
In serving cups or small bowls, layer the crushed vanilla wafer cookies as the base.
Spoon a layer of banana pudding over the cookie crumbs.
Add a layer of diced bananas.
Drizzle a generous amount of caramel sauce over the bananas.
Repeat the layers as desired, ending with a drizzle of caramel sauce on top.
Add Toppings (Optional):
Top with whipped cream if desired.
Drizzle additional caramel sauce on top for extra sweetness.
Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate the assembled cups for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the pudding to set.
Serve chilled and enjoy!
